My Story

Unloading the coffin kiln

My first venture into pottery began as a teenager when my father built me a potters wheel.

This fascination with clay continued into my adult years culminating in me leaving a career as a school teacher to pursue a full-time career as a potter and setting up a studio at Londonderry west of Sydney.

Being self taught I continued to build my skills and following. By the 1980’s I was supplying and exhibiting in over 34 galleries.

In 1989 I moved my studio to beautiful Bonny Hills and began the development of my spectacular Crystal Glazes and established Crystalline Pottery.

From Bonny Hills I continued to supply over 34 galleries with my work until in 2006 I “retired” from galleries to open my own studio to the public.

I now make only a limited number of pots each year and after 38 years as a potter my passion for creating beautiful works of art continues.

I hope you enjoy my pottery as much as I did creating it.
